Sultan, Abdullah enjoy brisk walk in the park

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi enjoyed a refreshing walk around the Tasek Lama Recreation Park yesterday morning.

The Malaysian prime minister, dressed in a grey tracksuit, was greeted upon arrival by His Majesty.

Also present were His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Brunei cabinet ministers, Malaysian ministers and chief ministers of Sabah and Sarawak were also present.

His Majesty and Abdullah planted palm saplings at the park to mark the Malaysian premier's visit.

Meanwhile, Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah visited Kampung Ayer and the Royal Regalia and later joined Dato' Abdullah to meet Malaysians living in Brunei before leaving for home yesterday afternoon. - Borneo Bulletin (15th August 2007)
