HRH the Deputy Sultan receives two envoys

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan, yesterday consented to receive in audience two foreign envoys Mr Abolfazl Khazaee Torshizi, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran; and Mr Ha Hong Hai, the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, respectively.

First to be received in audience at Istana Nurul Iman was Mr Torshizi who had presented his letter of credentials before His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on March 20, 2007.

Next in audience was Mr Ha who had been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam since December 6, 2003 and is due to leave the country in early June, 2007.

Also present in both audiences was Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abd Hamid bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Yassin, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office. - Borneo Bulletin (13rd May 2007)
