His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain and Spanish Prime Minister Mr Jose Luis Rodriquez Zapatero on the occasion of Spain's National Day.
In the message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding between the Sultanate and Spain.
His Majesty hoped that the ties would be maintained and enhanced in future for the good of the two countries and peoples.
His Majesty also hoped that the Spanish King and Mr Zapatero would always remain in good health and happiness, and for the Spanish people to enjoy continued progress and prosperity.
Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to Mr Miguel Angel Morantinos, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain.
