The ‘Malam Berjaga-jaga’ or Nightly Vigil continued last night at Istana Nurul Iman and Darul Karamah to enliven the Royal wedding between His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bulqiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Khairul Khalil bin Pengiran Syed Haji Jaafari. At Istana Nurul Iman, the ceremony was attended by Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin-Pehin Manteri and Senior Government Officers.
The Nightly Vigils was highlighted with ‘Dikir’ presentation by official and religious teachers from Brunei Zone, Temburong and Belait District as well as official, imam and worshippers of the National Housing Scheme of Kampung Lambak Kanan. The nightly vigil was also glorified with presentation of ‘Syair’ and poem by State Dignitaries.
Doa Selamat to bless the occasion was read by the State Mufti, Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Abdul Aziz bin Juned.
