His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Mr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the occasion of the Islamic Republic's National Day yesterday.
In the message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations as well as deep understanding between Brunei and Iran.
His Majesty hoped that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future, for the good of both countries and people.
His Majesty also prayed to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will always remain in good health and happiness and that the Iranian people will always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.
His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in a message to Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki, also congratulated Iran's government and people on their National Day.
HRH, who extended his kindest regards and very best wishes, looks forward to continue working with Iran to enhance their friendship.
