Crown Prince concludes visit to Philippines

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah concluded their visit to the Republic of the Philippines.

The visit was at the invitation of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, President of the Republic of the Philippines.

Before leaving the hotel, a 'doa selamat' was read by Pehin Khatib Haji Awang Hamidon bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Hamid.

According to a press release from the Prime Minister's Office, on arrival at an airbase, His Royal Highness consented to inspect a 'Foyer Guard' of the Philippines Air Force.

Present at the Bulwagan Kalayaan Villamor Airbase to bid farewell to Their Royal Highnesses were Vice President of the Republic of Philippines, Mr Noli de Castro; Major General Alfredo Ubungen, Inspector General, Philippines Air Force (PAF); Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines to Brunei Darussalam, Virginia H Benavidez and senior officials of the Republic of the Philippines Government.

Also present at the airbase were Emaleen Abdul Rahman Teo, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Philippines, and officials from the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Manila.

Accompanying Their Royal Highnesses throughout the visit were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Muntaqim and Prince Abdul Qawi. - Borneo Bulletin (10th Nov 2007)
