His Royal Highness Prince General Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, continued the series of working visits to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Ministry of Defence with a visit to the Directorate of Operations, Ministry of Defence at Bolkiah Garrison yesterday.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Deputy Minister of Defence Pehin Datu Singamanteri Col (rtd) Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yasmin; Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office Dato Paduka Awg Hj Eusoff Agaki; and RBAF Commander Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awg Halbi.
Also present during the visit were Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Dato Paduka Awg Hj Sulaiman; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Hj Mustappa Hj Sirat; amd Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Hjh Salbiah Hj Sulaiman as well as other officials from the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
HRH's visit commenced with a presentation on the organisational structure, roles and functions of the Directorate delivered by Lt. Col. Hj Awg Abu Bakar, Acting Director of the Directorate of Operations, Ministry of Defence. At the end of the briefing, HRH had a discussion session.
HRH then visited the Joint Operation Centre at the Directorate of Operations and witnessed the set-up, the way it's being manned and personally observed some procedures and its staff.
At the end of the visit, HRH signed the royal parchment in conjunction with the working visit.
The visits by HRH to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces serve as a continuous support to His Majesty's efforts in ensuring that all government organisations, including security agencies, adopt excellence in their work culture and be more committed.
