Royal donation to Vietnam's Orange victims

Her Royal Highness Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah on Wednesday donated a considerable sum of money to the Vietnam Association for Agent Orange victims to help its poor members, Embassy sources in Vietnam said.

His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Her Royal Highness recently made a five-day official visit to Vietnam and Laos.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the money was handed over to the association's president, Senior Lt Gen Dang Vu Hiep, in Hanoi by Brunei's Ambassador, Dato Paduka Hj Ali Hj Hassan.

The money would be used to provide housing, medical treatment and business loans to victims of the dioxin, Hiep said, extending his thanks to the Royalty. - Borneo Bulletin (9th Apr 2006)
