More than 4,000 fans at the Indoor Stadium of Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex in Berakas Saturday night went home satisfied after they were treated to the magnificent voice of Indonesian diva Rossa, the hilarious acts of parody group Project Pop, and excellent stage lighting and sound systems.
Members of the Royal Family HRH Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bulqiah, HRH Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bulqiah and the grandchildren of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam also attended the concert.
The concert was organised by De Hayat Musical & Production to collect funds for the "Malam Serumpun Seri 60 Tahun", an event for His Majesty's 60th Birthday Celebration this July.
Champion of Kristal Kid Idol 2006 Izzati Hj Hamdani, who is 14, overcame any nerves to perform the two opening songs Bukan Cinta Biasa and Balqis.
Local recording artiste Hans Anwar with several singles and albums under his belt sang two of his compositions Berapa Kali and Maafkan Aku.
Indonesian diva Rossa came out next to render some 12 songs, including a duet with Hans Anwar in a locally-composed song Lara Hati.
When it was the turn of parody group Project Pop to appear, there was non-stop laughter in the audience as the six-member group imitated stars like Siti Nurhaliza, Peterpan, Radja and Glen Fredly.
