Sultan grants audience to new envoys

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to present letters of appointments to newly-appointed High Commissioners and Ambassadors of Brunei to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Union of Myanmar and Cambodia as well as to the Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations.

His Majesty also consented to receive credentials from newly-appointed envoys of Singapore and Australia to Brunei.

The event took place at Istana Nurul Iman.

His Majesty presented letters of appointment to the newly appointed High Commissioner of Brunei to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Pg Dato Paduka Hj Maidin and the new Permanent Representative of Brunei to the United Nations in New York, Dr Hj Emran bin Bahar.

His Majesty also presented letters of appointment to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei to the Union of Myanmar, Pehin Datu Inderasugara Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Hj Mohammad Yusof and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei to Cambodia, Pg Hjh Basmillah bte Pg Hj Abbas.

His Majesty received credentials from newly appointed High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei, Mr Joseph KH Koh, and new High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei, Dr Ruth Penelope Adler.
