Royal audience to Omani official

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, yesterday afternoon consented to receive in audience Mr Sayyid Bader bin Hamad bin Hamoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.

Mr Sayyid Bader is attending the 9th Bilateral Consultative Meeting between Brunei Darussalam and the Sultanate of Oman from August 6 to 8.

During the audience ceremony, Mr Sayyid Bader was accompanied by Mr Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Dahab, Head of the Asian Department and Mr Ahmed bin Mohamed Zahir Al-Hinai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam.

Also present during the audience ceremony was Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar bin Pengiran Seri Indera Pengiran Haji Ismail, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.

The audience ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday granted an audience to Mr Sayyid Bader bin Hamad bin Hamoud at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.

His Royal Highness welcomed the undersecretary and discussed bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Sultanate of Oman and current regional affairs. - Borneo Bulletin (8th Aug 2006)
