Princess Masna graces Women Police shooting competition

Her Royal Highness Princess Hjh Masna, Women Police Commandant yesterday morning participated in the annual shooting competition between several branches of the Women Police. At the event, contestants put their best marksmanship and gun handling skills to the test as the branches vied for this year's coveted Women Police Commandant Challenge Trophy.

The competition took place at the Royal Brunei Police Force Shooting Range at Jalan Muara and was followed by a prize presentation ceremony at the Officers' Mess of the Royal Brunei Police Headquarters in Gadong.

The competition was divided into two categories - Category 'A' for officers and Category 'B' for the different police branches.

Among the various events held at the competition yesterday were the "Falling Plate" shooting competition between branches and VVIP team officers, a shooting training session between VVIP Team Officers and a target shooting competition between team officers.

The winners were announced later at the Officers' Mess, Royal Brunei Police Headquarters. Branch 'A' emerged champions in the Category 'B' competition, followed by Branch 'B' as the runners-up and Branch 'D' as the second runners-up.

Team 'C' Officers emerged champions in the 'officers in teams' event with a score of 204 points, followed by Team 'A' Officers as runners-up (187 points) and Team 'D' Officers in the second runners-up spot (181 points).

The Women Police Commandant Challenge Trophy 2006 eventually went to Branch 'D', while the best shooter in the competition was Cpl 2059 Siti Sara bte Hj Ladi from Branch 'B'. - Borneo Bulletin (7th September 2006)
