Royalty begin 4-day visit to France

His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and HRH Paduka Seri Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah are currently on a four-day visit to France, RTB reported.

Their Royal Highnesses are accompanied by HRH Prince 'Abdul Malik and Prince Abdul Qawi.

Present to bid the royal entourage farewell at the Brunei International Airport in Berakas Sunday were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, deputy ministers, and senior government officials.

Before departure, a doa selamat was read by Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Yahya.

Meanwhile, Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by Senior Protocol Officer of French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nicole fe Lapeyriere on arrival at the Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris.

Also present was Brunei Ambassador to France Dato Zainidi bin Haji Sidup.

At the airport, Their Royal Highnesses received a guard of honour by the French Army.

During the four-day visit, Crown Prince will meet with French President Jacques Chirac at Elysee Palace.
