The nation is gearing up to celebrate the 60th birthday of its beloved ruler and the preparations for a grand celebration are in full swing.
At Mile 1, Jalan Tutong, workers are putting final touches on the graphics of an arch which will be installed within the next few days.
Festive decorative lighting has also been installed on lampposts in the capital.
Apart from the annual events and performances, this year a few new enhanced programmes will be slotted in.
The events include the International Tattoo Performance 2006, Majlis Kesyukuran, Konsert Dirgahayu Emas, International Halal Products Expo, Asean Tug-of-War and Malam Rumpun Seri 60.
