His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive in audience two outgoing foreign diplomats to Brunei Darussalam.
The audience ceremonies were held at Istana Nurul Iman.
His Majesty first consented to receive in audience Mr Esam A Abid Al-Thagafi, the Saudi Arabia Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Brunei, who had been in Brunei since May 2003.
His Majesty then consented to receive in audience Dato Paduka Dr Oleksandr Horin, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Brunei, who had been a non-resident ambassador to Brunei since February 2004.
Also present during the audience was Pg Dato Paduka Hj Abu Bakar, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, also received in audience the outgoing non-resident Ambassador of Ukraine to the country, Dato Paduka Dr. Oleksandr Horin.
Also present during the audience was Pg Dato Paduka Hj Abu Bakar, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.
