His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive letters of appointment from four incoming diplomats of foreign nations at the Istana Nurul Iman.
His Majesty consented to receive letters of appointment from the newly-appointed High Commissioner of the Republic of Bangladesh, Mr Mohamad Hedayetul Islam Chowdhury; Ambassador of Cambodia, Mr Nan Sy; Non-Residential Ambassador of Austria, Dr Donatus Kock; and High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea, Mr Damien Dominic Gamiandu, RTB reported.
His Majesty later consented to receive the four new envoys in separate audiences.
Present at the audiences were Minister of Education Pehin Dato Awang Hj Abdul Rahman, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Pehin Dato Awang Lim Jock Seng, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Pengiran Dato Haji Abu Bakar, and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hj Sofry bin Hj Abdul Ghafor.
