Royal Birthday celebrations in full swing
By Cedrina Norlaila Abd. Clark

Two weeks after His Majesty's 60th birthday, "Night Fever" goes on as locals and foreigners attend concerts, dine at food-stalls, walk in the capital, take photos under the neon and colourful lights.

Vendors sell local fruits, longans, "sotong" or dried pounded squids, fresh coconut and sugar-cane juices, and cordials.

Colourful decorative balloons and clothes are sold at different booths in the capital. Babies to elderly people throng the many exciting places in the capital last night. - Borneo Bulletin (30th July 2006)
