His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send congratulatory messages to Netherlands' Queen Koningin Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard and Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende on the occasion of the Queen's Day.
In his messages, the monarch expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding that have long been established between Brunei and Netherlands.
His Majesty hoped that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the good of the two countries and the people.
The Sultan also hoped Queen Armgard and Mr Balkenende would always remain in good health and happiness and the people of Netherlands, continued progress and prosperity.
Meanwhile, the monarch also consented to send congratulatory messages to Sweden's King Carl Gustaf XVI and Prime Minister Goran Persson on the occasion of King Gustaf's birthday.
In his messages, His Majesty expressed satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding that have long been established between the two countries.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in his message to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands Dr Bernard Rudolf Bot, congratulated Queen Armgard and the royal family as well as the Dutch government and people.
Prince Mohamed also noted his appreciation for the friendship and cooperation that have existed between the two countries and look forward to working on enhancing these relations.
HRH also sent a message to Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Eliasson where he congratulated King Gustaf and the royal family as well as the Swedish government and people on the occasion of the King Gustaf's birthday.
In his message, Prince Mohamed stated that he looked forward to continuing the work of strengthening the much-valued warm and friendly relations between Brunei and Sweden.
