His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday granted an audience to a 26-member delegation comprising ministers, senior government officials and private sector representatives from Singapore who are currently here for the 12th Singapore-Brunei Exchange Visit.
The audience took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.
The delegation is led by Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs, George Yeo who arrived Friday for the three-day visit.
Also present at the audience were His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The Singapore delegation includes Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean, Minister for the Environment and Water resources Dr. Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Defence Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Senior Minister of State and Home Affairs and Law Assoc. Prof. Ho Penh Kee and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Information, Communications and the Arts Yatiman Yusof.
The delegation also includes senior civil servants and private sector representatives. Also in attendance were Brunei Cabinet Ministers and Deputy Ministers.
The Singapore delegates also held separate bilateral meetings with their Brunei counterparts to exchange views on bilateral and regional issues.
