His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive in audience Mr Mahmoud Al-Zahar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestinian National Authority at Istana Nurul Iman.
Minister Al Zahar is in the country on a two day visit.
During the audience, Mr Mahmoud Al-Zahar was accompanied by Dr Samir Abu Esah, Minister of Planning of the Palestinian National Authority.
Also present during the audience ceremony were Pehin Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Hj Mohamed Taib the Minister of Education, Pengiran Dato Paduka Hj Abu Bakar bin Pengiran Seri Indera Pengiran Hj Ismail, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minsiter's Office and Hj Shofry bin Hj Abdul Ghafor, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Meanwhile His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade also met the Palestinian Foreign Minister Mr Mahmoud Al Zahar for talks.
His Royal Highness later hosted the Foreign Minister to a luncheon at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.
HRH Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade also attended the ministerial discussion and the luncheon.
