Japanese fireworks unit, firm call on Ambassador to Brunei
By Sonia K.

Japan is participating in the Brunei International Tattoo (BIT) 2006 through the launching of luminous Hanabi, or Japanese fireworks. BIT 2006 is one of the most colourful events lined-up in conjunction with His Majesty's 60th Birthday celebrations. As various military bands from abroad will contribute with military band performances, Japan has decided to take part with the spectacular Hanabi, which are highly acclaimed worldwide for their beauty and excellence.

Yesterday, the Japanese Hanabi Implementation Unit and members of Hokurikukako paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam. Mr Yoshinobu Nisaka welcomed their visit and mentioned that he was very pleased because so many Bruneians can enjoy the best of Japanese fireworks at BIT 2006, thanks to the "wonderful efforts of organisations and companies that have strong relevance to Japan."

Hokurikukako hoped His Majesty and Bruneians would enjoy the fireworks as they blossom up in the sky. In what would be Hokurikukako's first participation in Brunei, the fireworks display will be coordinated and synchronised with the music performance by the military bands of 13 different countries. - Borneo Bulletin (27th July 2006)
