His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send congratulatory messages to the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Professor Iajuddin Ahmed, and Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia on the occasion of the anniversary of the Bangladesh's Independence Day on March 26, 2006.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also sends a similar congratulatory message to his counterpart Minister of Foreign Affairs Morshed Khan and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion.
His Royal Highness appreciates the two countries' growing cooperation and looks forward to continuing to strengthen the much valued friendship and cooperation.
