High somersaults and soaring martial art kicks, as well as powerful swords with spear fighting techniques are some of the highlights of this year's Brunei International Tattoo 2006, which will take place on July 29 at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
Some 800 people gathered at Yayasan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the heart of the capital to catch a glimpse of what is to come from 24 martial art exponents from Coazhou, China.
The crowds were not disappointed at the brief but captivating Wushu preview, where 35 wushu performances were on display by the young experts from the renowned school of Coazhou Martial Arts vocational school.
Acknowledged as one of the best martial art schools in China, the Caozhou Martial Arts school is located in the southern peony road of Heze City, covering 260 acres.
The martial art school has been appraised as a National Advanced Martial Art school, Famous Martial Arts school in Shandong Province (Grade A), and it is now a teaching and research-cum-experimental base.
Among the guests who attended yesterday's special preview was Dato Paduka Hj Ali Hashim bin Hj Daud, Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, as well as RBAF officials and the PLA Military Band of China. Also present were Mr Xu Xueli, the honorary manager of Coazhou Wushu club, and Mr Jiang Siwen, head of the Chinese delegation.
