Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar attended a ceremony to mark the Israk Mikraj celebration yesterday at Istana Nurul Iman.
Accompanying them were Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah and members of the royal family.
The auspicious event was attended by over 6,000 guests. The highlight of the ceremony was a religious talk delivered by Ustazah Siti Nur Bahiyah Mahmud, a speaker from Malaysia. A recital of Al-Quran was also read by Hajah Aminah binti Hj Abd Manaf.
Wives of the Privy Council members, pengiran cheterias, pengiran peranakans, cabinet ministers, representatives of women associations under the Brunei Darussalam Women's Council and women government officers were also present at the event.
