Brunei supports OIC efforts

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in a statement expressed support of current efforts to implement the Organisation of Islamic Conference's (OIC) 10-year Programme of Action.

His Royal Highness reiterated that basically the action programmes involve fairly modest activities that are flexible and aimed at ordinary people, RTB reported.

His Royal Highness made the address at the general debate of the 33rd session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers in Baku, Azerbaijan.

His Royal Highness also expressed his appreciation to Saudi Arabia, the summit chairman, eminent persons group and Muslim scholars and intellectuals in making the Action Programme possible.

On Monday night, His Royal Highness together with fellow members of OIC attended a dinner hosted by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

Earlier Monday afternoon, His Royal Highness met with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, who is also the chairman of the 33rd Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, Elmar Mammadyarov.
