The exhibition that was held along Jalan Pretty, beside Taman Sir Omar Ali Saiffudien, and along Yayasan Shopping Complex's open foyer featured over eight exhibition booths including a display of tanks, helicopters, trucks and other military vehicles.

His Majesty also consented to view a number of exhibitions showcasing the major units of RBAF, namely, the Royal Brunei Land Force, Royal Brunei Air Force, Royal Brunei Navy, RBAF Training Institute and Royal Brunei Support Services.

Members of the public took the opportunity to greet His Majesty as he toured the exhibition. The crowds comprised families and friends of RBAF personnel as well as tourists.

Members of the public told the press of their enthusiasm in being able to join their loved ones who are military personnel.

Eager young children were fascinated by the military vehicles and were seen clambering into the helicopters as parents took photos. Others lined up to handle military equipment. Some came wearing patriotic RBAF gear to get into the mood for the celebration.

High school and university students also visited a special section assigned for recruitment, where they managed to gain answers and information on careers in the military. - Borneo Bulletin (1st June 2006)
