The Mukim Kilanas Consultative Council invites small and medium enterprises to take part in a week-long bazaar at the Bendahara Sakam Bunut Primary School, Jalan Tutong, from August 7 to 14.
The bazaar is organised to mark His Majesty's 60th birthday this year.
Apart from sales booths, the council will hold a number of competitions and cultural performances in conjunction with the bazaar, like an azan competition, a cooking competition, the 'Piala Bintang' singing competition, syair (Malay poetry) recital and a drawing competition for children.
Guest singers from Indonesia are also expected to perform during the bazaar.
The deputy chairman of the organising committee Pg Suud bin Pg Hj Abdullah said prior to the bazaar, thanksgiving prayers and the reading of the "yasin" to commemorate His Majesty's birthday will be held on July 23, after the Magrib prayer.
The event is expected to be attended by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Dato Hj Dani bin Hj Ibrahim.
