Crown Prince feted by RBAF

His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and General Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah consented to attended a high tea reception hosted by officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces in conjunction with His Royal Highness' 32nd birthday yesterday afternoon.

Accompanying the Royal couple to the event, which took place at the Royal Brunei Navy's Officers' Mess in Muara, was His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik.

His Royal Highness and the Royal Entourage were greeted by Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yasmin Bin Haji Umar, Deputy Minister of Defence, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi Bin Haji Md Yussof, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Haji Mustappa Bin Hj Sirat, Permanent Secretary of Defence, Deputy Permanent Secretaries of Defence as well as the unit commanders and commandants.

Also present were military and civilian directors, senior officers and officers of the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and General Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) consented to sign the Royal Parchment.

The event commenced with His Royal Highness cutting a birthday cake followed by the presentation of the pesambah by Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

The recital of "Doa Kesyukuran" in conjunction with His Royal Highness' 32nd birthday celebration was led by Ustaz Haji Ruslan Bin Haji Sulaiman, acting senior religious officer of Ministry of Defence.

His Royal Highness and the Royal Entourage received greetings from officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and their spouses, and participated in a group photo session with the RBAF senior officers. - Borneo Bulletin (18th Feb 2006)
