His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to visit an exhibition set up in conjunction with a thanksgiving ceremony as part of the monarch's 60th birthday celebrations at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.
Accompanying the Sultan to the event were HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, and HRH Prince Abdul Malik.
At the exhibition, His Majesty was greeted by exhibitors from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and all four districts.
Also greeting the monarch were exhibitors from the Mushaf Nurul Iman Secretariat, Brunei Shell Marketing, Tel-Bru, Royal Brunei Airlines, b.mobile, Radio Television Brunei, Borneo United, Darussalam Holdings, Rizqun International Hotel, ITPSS Sdn Bhd, and the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
During a tour of the exhibition at the multipurpose hall of the ICC, His Majesty also spoke with exhibitors and consented to receive a number of pesambahs.
His Majesty and other members of the royal family later received greetings from citizens and residents of the Sultanate followed by the "Santap".
