His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to award 121 residents in the Brunei-Muara District with land lots and house keys during a ceremony at Kg Kapok Primary School in Muara.
Following the event, the monarch proceeded to tour the school.
The Sultan also learnt that the school is currently undertaking a number of projects, among them a "BACA" programme, a campaign to overcome problem with rest rooms, inculcating the habit of reading, strengthening of basic subjects, and remedial programme of English for lower primary school students.
Meanwhile, His Majesty also visited the residence of acting village head of Kg Kapok, Meragang Aquaculture Development Centre, Seiwa Corp Sdn Bhd Hatchery Centre, and Youth Development Centre under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The Sultan also toured TIBA Cooperative filling station in Kg Salambigar, residence of village head of Kampong Sungai Hanching and Salambigar, houses of recipients in Kg Rimba and Kg Tungku (Katok 'A'), Beribi II Light Industrial Complex, Interline Roofing (B) Sdn Bhd, and Setia Motors Sdn Bhd.
