His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday granted an audience to Lord Mayor of London, Alderman David Brewer, at the Istana Nurul Iman.
Meanwhile, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pg Anak Hjh Saleha received in audience the wife of the Lord Mayor of London, Lord Mayoress, Mrs Tessa Brewer. It was also held at the Istana Nurul Iman.
The Lord Mayor, who arrived last Saturday, left Brunei yesterday after being received in audience also by HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Also present during the audience ceremony with His Majesty were Minister of Education, Pehin Dato Awg Haji Abdul Rahman; Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Pg Dato Haji Abu Bakar; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Pg Dato Osman; and the British High Commissioner to Brunei, Mr John Saville.
