The Ambassador of The People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, Ms Yang Yanyi, conveyed her congratulatory message to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on the occasion of commemorating the 60th Birthday of His Majesty.
In the congratulatory message, Ms Yang Yanyi, said: "It is with great pleasure and honour that I extend, on behalf of the government and people of The People's Republic of China, our warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty, members of the royal family and the government and people of Brunei Darussalam on the auspicious occasion of the 60th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
"We join the people of Brunei Darussalam in celebrating the many years of dedication, kindness and service bestowed by His Majesty to his beloved subjects and in expressing our sincere admiration for His Majesty's enduring efforts in promoting political stability, economic prosperity and social harmony in this beautiful nation. Guided by His Majesty's vision, wisdom and compassion, Brunei Darussalam has enjoyed better livelihood, peace, progress and development, as well as well-earned respect and acclaim in the region and the world.
"We also wish to take this special and joyous occasion to express our deepest appreciation for His Majesty's assiduous care and enormous contribution in promoting regional and world peace, cooperation and common good; and the good-neighbourly relations between China and Brunei.
"As we are commemorating the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Brunei, we are happy to see that friendship and cooperation between the two countries are growing from strength to strength. We are confident that with the outstanding leadership of His Majesty and the top leadership of China the bonds of friendship between China and Brunei will be further cemented in the decades ahead."
In conclusion, the Chinese ambassador would like to wish His Majesty a long, healthy and happy life and the people of Brunei Darussalam continued well-being, peace and prosperity.
