Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah was among 129 students who received their graduation certificates and souvenirs in the Graduation Ceremony for Pra-University 2 (2005) of the Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College which took place at the Auditorium, yesterday afternoon.

The guest of honour at the ceremony who also presented the certificates to the graduates was Cikgu Hj Mohd Daud bin Hj Mahmud, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education.

Also present were the Deputy Minister of Education, Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr. Hj Mohammad bin Pg Hj Abd Rahman, and Dato Paduka Sheikh Hj Adnan bin Sheikh Mohammad, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry as well as parents of the graduating students including both parents of HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah.

The guest of honour in his opening remarks congratulated the graduates in completing their 'A' Level studies.

He hoped that the graduates would utilise the knowledge and experience that had been acquired to the fullest in their new ventures such as going for further studies by entering institutions of higher learning or universities or joining the workforce.

Highlighting the difference in education environment between secondary school and university, Cikgu Hj Mohd Daud said that in university and at other institutions of higher learning, efforts on raising knowledge are not dependent on teachers anymore, but rather up to the students themselves and their discipline.

After the speech, the guest of honour presented the certificates and souvenirs to all the Graduates.

This was followed by a speech from a representative of the Pra-U (2005) students, Muhd Majdi Shahruddin bin Hj Jasni. The graduation ceremony also featured a visual presentation of the flashback of Pra-U2 students and a group photo session. - Borneo Bulletin (15th Jan 2006)
