His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam last night left for Qatar and United Arab Emirates for a six-day state visit.
Present at the airport to bid farewell were His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Prince Abdul Malik.
His Majesty will be in Qatar from April 14 - 16 and in United Arab Emirates from April 16 - 19, 2006.
Before leaving, a doa selamat was read by the State Mufti. Also present to bid farewell were Pengiran-Pengiran Cheterias, Cabinet Ministers, members of Councils, Deputy Ministers and senior government officials.
