Over 60,000 people have visited "The King, Protector of the Nation" exhibition currently held at the ICC in Berakas in their zest to learn more about His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
For those who have not seen the exhibits, they have until August 31 to do so, said the organisers from Balai Kenangan Al-Marhum Sultan Hj Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien.
About 240 students of St James in KB and 20 others from Berakas Beach Primary School also came to the ICC recently. The St James students also had time to visit the Royal Regalia in BSB before returning home.
The young visitors said they learnt a lot about His Majesty's efforts in ensuring the nation's development, prosperity and sovereignty. "We also learnt about His Majesty's past-time interests, in sports and recreation," they added.
For senior citizens above the age of 60 who visit the exhibition, they will be entitled to a gift - a book entitled "Brunei Berdaulat" (or Sovereign Brunei). It can be claimed from the reception counter upon presenting proof of age - either an IC or passport.
Visitors over the age of 15 could also enter a quiz on the exhibition at the counter. Entries must be inserted into a box at the ICC pavilion no later than 4pm on August 31.
