The National Development Party (NDP) of Brunei Darussalam unveiled a unique structure in front of its headquarters in Limbaruh Hijau, Jerudong.

The structure was constructed to commemorate His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 60th birthday celebration this month.

The massive structure comprises two huge posters of His Majesty and 14 smaller ones to showcase the party's mission statement and pledges of loyalty on each of His Majesty's poster.

NDP Director of Media, Malai Hassan Othman, said the party took the initiative to put up the posters of His Majesty as a sign of the party's loyalty towards the monarch.

"It is also meant to rejoice the royal birthday of His Majesty who continues to steer the nation towards greater progress and development since his reign commenced in 1967," he added.

Apart from the posters, there are also two celebration banners - one on each side, while the national flags are flown at both sides of the structure. - Borneo Bulletin (13th July 2006)
