Royal messages for Spain's National Day

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain and Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero of Spain, on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Spain.

His Majesty expressed his gratification over the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding between Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Spain. His Majesty hoped that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the good of the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty hoped that His Majesty King Juan Carlos I would always remain in good health and happiness and for the people of the Kingdom of Spain to always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

In a congratulatory message to the Spanish Prime Minister, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations between the two countries. His Majesty expressed his wish that this would be widened and enhanced in the future for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty also wished the Spanish Prime Minister continued good health and happiness.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Miguel Angel Morantinos.

His Royal Highness said, "It gives me great pleasure to present my deepest respect to His Majesty King Juan Carlos and the royal family, together with my congratulations and best wishes to you and to the Government and people of Spain on your National Day.
