More than four thousand eligible recipients in Brunei’s four districts received the sacrificial meat of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and members of the royal family. In the Brunei Muara District, the distribution took place in the Dewan Muhibbah at the Old Airport Government Complex in Berakas.
The Brunei Muara District Officer, Dato Paduka Haji Mohamad Yussop handed over the meat to various penghulu mukim and ketua kampung to be distributed among 2 thousand 6 hundred and seventy less fortunate people in the district. In Tutong, 608 needy people from thirty villages received the gifts of meat that were presented by the District Officer, Awang Abdul Mutalib. The function took place at the Dewan Seri Kenangan Tutong. In the Temburong District, more than two hundred needy people got their share of the sacrificial meat that was presented by the District Officer, Pengiran Abdul Harris at the Belalong Hall in Bangar. And 8 hundred and 31 people in the Belait District also received the sacrificial meat that was distributed by the Acting District 0fficer, Awang Haji Mohammad.
