Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, attended the People's Republic of China Chinese New Year open house gathering at the Chinese Ambassador's residence, yesterday afternoon.
Accompanying HRH Princess Hajah Masna was her husband, Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar.
Upon arrival, the royal couple was welcomed by Miss Yang Yanyi, the Chinese Ambassador and Mr Tiang Qi, the counselor of the Chinese Embassy.
Among the senior government officials who attended the Chinese New Year celebration were Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Hj Ahmad bin Hj Jumat, The Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dato Seri Paduka Lim Jock Seng, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Hj Mohammad bin Hj Daud, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Chinese community leaders including Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Awang Goh King Chin, Pehin Bendahari China Kornia Diraja Awang Ng Teck Hock, Pehin Bendahari China Awang Onn Siew Siong and heads of associations as well as foreign dignitaries were also present at the open house.
