His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade yesterday granted a farewell audience at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayanga to Mr Esam A. Abid Al-Thagafi, the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a Press Release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said.
Mr Esam A Abid Al-Thagafi has been Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Brunei since May 2003.
His Royal Highness also granted audience to two newly appointed foreign envoys to Brunei.
They were Mr Md Hedayetul Islam Chowdhury of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Mr. Nan Sy of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Md Hedayetul Islam Chowdhury was Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
Meanwhile the Cambodian envoy Mr Nan Sy was previously the Special Envoy to Samdech Krom Preah, Speaker of the House and the President of Funcinpec Party.
