His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Dipertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to receive in audience the Chief Of Naval Staff of Pakistan, His Excellency Admiral Shahid Karimullah at the Istana Nurul Iman.
During the audience, Admiral Shahid Karimullah was accompanied by the Pakistani High Commissioner to Brunei, His Excellency Major Retired Badr-ud-Deen. Also present was the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Pehin Datu Inderasugara Brigedier General Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohammad Yussof bin Abu Bakar; the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Pehin Orang Kaya Dewa Pahlawan Dato Paduka Haji Dani, and the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, Awang Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat.
Earlier in the day, the Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan paid separate courtesy calls to the Deputy Minister of Defence, Pengiran Sanggamara Diraja Retired Major General Pengiran Hj Ibnu Ba'asith, and the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Pehin Datu Inderasugara Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof bin Abu Bakar. Both calls took place at the Bolkiah Garrison.
