His Majesty in Perth

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam who was in Perth during the last leg of a State Visit to Australia, began his programme by holding a meeting with the Governor of Western Australia, Lieutenant General John Sanderson, RTB reported.

The meeting was held at the Government House in Perth, the capital of Western Australia.

The Government House is a historical building that dates back to 1859. It is the official residence of the Governor of Western Australia. His Majesty was briefed by the Governor, of the historical aspects of the building.

During the official luncheon, His Majesty acknowledged with appreciation the warmth, friendship and generosity accorded to the people of Brunei Darussalam as well as the goodwill that has developed between the people of Brunei Darussalam and Western Australia.

His Majesty later visited Australia's Special Elite Force based in Western Australia.

His Majesty's programme at the Special Air Services Regiment included the tour of the facility, witnessing a live fire demonstration and joining officers of the force for afternoon tea.
