His Royal Highness the Crown Prince General Pg Muda Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan, yesterday afternoon consented to witness a static display of the C-130J aircraft which is currently in the country in conjunction with the C-130J Technical and Product Exhibition.
Upon arrival at the royal annex, His Royal Highness was greeted by the Acting Minister of Defence, Pg Sanggamara Diraja Major General (R) Pg Hj Ibnu Ba'asith; Acting Royal Brunei Armed Forces Commander Pehin Datu Inderasugara Brigadier-General Awg Hj Yusof; US Ambassador to Brunei Mr Gene Buri Christy; the Acting Permanent Secretary for Policy and Administration at the Ministry of Defence, Awg Hj Mohd Said; the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence; and the manager of the aircraft's manufacturing company.
Also present was the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Pehin Dato Paduka Awg Hj Hazair.
During the visit, HRH consented to board the C-130J aircraft to take a closer look at the facilities and equipment available in the aircraft whilst being briefed by the aircraft pilot on the aircraft's profile and operational function.
HRH's visit concluded with a mingling session and high tea with senior government officers as well as officers of the aircraft's manufacturing company.
HRH also consented to receive a "Pesambah" from a US Embassy representative.
